Feni Sadar (Bengali: ফেনী সদর) is an Upazila of Feni District in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh.[1] The district headquarters and all other administrative offices are located here. One of the main attractions of Feni Sadar is the shrine of the historically famous Pagla Miah, an 18th-century Muslim saint. Other historic sites inlclude Rajajhee's Dighee and Bijoysingh Dighee, two large ponds of historical significance.

Geography

Feni Sadar is located at 23°01′00″N 91°23′30″E / 23.0167°N 91.3917°E . It has 57331 units of house hold and total area 197.33 km².

Demographics

As of the 1991 Bangladesh census, the upazila of Feni Sadar had a population of 345,801. Males constitute 51.15% of the population, and females 48.85%. This Upazila's eighteen-up population was 165,969. Feni Sadar has an average literacy rate of 43.2% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate.[2]
