Onyedika Félix Ogbuke commonly known as Felix Ogbuke (born 18 September 1985) is a Nigerian footballer who plays for Dhofar S.C.S.C. in Oman Professional League.[1]
Personal life
He is sometimes mentioned as the "brother" of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim striker Chinedu Ogbuke, but later admitted "We don't have the same parents, but we have grown up in the same house together".
Club career
Youth career
Born and raised in Enugu, Nigeria, Felix began his footballing career in 1995 with Lagos-based Pepsi Football Academy and played there for the next three seasons.
He first moved out of Nigeria in 1999 to the Middle East and more accurately to the United Arab Emirates where he joined the Abu Dhabi-based Al-Wahda F.C. Academy
Enugu Rangers
In 1998, after graduating from Nigeria's best football academy, Pepsi Football Academy he was signed on a one-year contract by Nigeria Premier League club, Enugu Rangers.
Al-Wahda
After graduating from the Al-Wahda F.C. Academy, he was signed by the UAE Pro League club on a one-year contract in 2003.
Ajman
After a short spell with the first team of Al-Wahda F.C., he moved on loan on a short-term deal to another UAE Pro League club, Ajman Club.
Al-Shabab
In 2004, he again moved out to a Middle Eastern country and this time to Kuwait where he was signed by Kuwaiti Premier League club, Al-Shabab SC on a short-term loan deal.
Ironi Ashdod
After spending a long spell in the Middle East, he again moved out of Nigeria and this time to Europe and more accurately to Israel where he signed a long-term contract with Israeli Premier League club, F.C. Ironi Ashdod. In his three-year spell with the Ashdod-based club, he helped them win the 2005–06 Toto Cup Al.
Hapoel Tel Aviv
In 2007, he moved to Tel Aviv where he signed a one-year contract with one of Israel's top most club, Hapoel Tel Aviv F.C. In his one-year spell with the Tel Aviv-based club, he helped them achieve the runners-up position in the 2007–08 Israel State Cup.
Maccabi Petah Tikva
In 2008, he moved to Petah Tikva where he signed a one-year contract with another Israeli Premier League club, Maccabi Petah Tikva F.C.
Hakoah Amidar Ramat Gan
In 2010, he moved to Ramat Gan where he signed a short-term contract with Liga Leumit club, Hakoah Amidar Ramat Gan F.C.
Heartland
In the latter part of 2010, he moved back to Nigeria where he signed a short-term contract with another Nigeria Premier League club, Heartland F.C.
Apollon Limassol
In late 2010, he once again moved out to Europe and this time to Cyprus where he signed a long-term contract with Cypriot First Division club, Apollon Limassol. He made his debut for the club on 8 August 2010 in the 2012 Cypriot Super Cup match in a 1-1 normal time draw against AC Omonia.[2] He came as a substitute for his Nigerian mate in the team, Waheed Oseni at the 90' minute of the game. The match was later won 3-2 on penalties by AC Omonia. He made his Cypriot First Division debut on 11 September 2010 in a 2-1 loss against AEK Larnaca F.C.[3] He also made 2 appearances in the 2010–11 UEFA Europa League, one in the First Leg of Third qualifying round on 29 July 2010 in a 1-0 loss against Russian side, FC Sibir Novosibirsk[4] and another on 5 August 2010 in a 2-1 win in the Second Leg of the same round against the Russian club.[5] He made 9 appearances in the 2010–11 Cypriot First Division.
Legia Warsaw
In 2011, he once again moved out to Europe and this time to Poland where he was signed by Ekstraklasa club, Legia Warsaw.[6] He made his Ekstraklasa debut on 6 March 2011 in a 1-0 win over Poland's oldest club, Polonia Warsaw.[7] He also made an appearance in the First Leg of the Quarter-finals of the 2010–11 Polish Cup in a 2-0 win over Ruch Chorzów.[8] He made 7 appearances in the 2010–11 Ekstraklasa. In his two-year spell with the Warsaw-based club, he helped them win the 2010–11 Polish Cup.[9]
Sharks
In 2013, he moved back to Nigeria and signed a short-term contract with another Nigeria Premier League club, Sharks F.C.
Hoàng Anh Gia Lai
In January 2013, he moved out to Vietnam where he signed a one-year contract with V.League 1 club, Hoàng Anh Gia Lai F.C.[10][11] He made his V.League 1 debut on 17 January 2014 in a 4-1 loss against Hanoi T&T F.C.[12] and scored his first goal on 30 March 2014 in a 1-1 draw against Thanh Hoa F.C.[13] He scored 5 goals in 21 appearances in the 2014 V.League 1.
Dhofar

On 18 January 2015, he signed a six-month contract with Oman Professional League club, Dhofar S.C.S.C.[14][15][16] He made his debut and scored his first goal for the club on 24 January 2015 in the Semi-Finals of the 2014–15 Oman Professional League Cup in a 1-1 draw against Sohar SC.[17][18][19] The match was later won by Dhofar as Felix helped his team by scoring from the spot in a 4-3 win on penalties over the Sohar-based club.
