Felipe Alejandro Núñez Becerra (born on 25 February 1979 in Caracas, Venezuela) - nicknamed Felipao - is a Chilean-Venezuelan football goalkeeper who currently plays for Huachipato of Primera División Chilena.[1]

He is the captain of Palestino. He frequently use the pink color in his shirt and also he wears shirt number 30. He has recognized fan of the club, due to he has taken a liking to the club, after of play six seasons with this club.

Club career

Born in Caracas, Venezuela, he arrived to Chile with his family in 1991, when he was 12 years old. Núñez joined Colo-Colo's youth ranks aged 15, in 1994. He made his first division debuts with Colo-Colo in 1999.

Shortly after, he was loaned to Fernández Vial of Chilean Primera B in 2000. Núñez remained with Fernández Vial until 2001. In 2002, Núñez returned to Colo-Colo, but he immediately transferred to Potros Neza of Mexico, the filial of Atlante F.C.

In 2004, he was detached of Potros Neza, and shortly after he signed for the Chilean Primera Division Club CD Palestino for plays the Torneo Clausura of this year. In 2006 Clausura, he lost the titularity in Palestino due to the arrival of the bolivian goalkeeper Leonardo Fernández, but after Núñez recupered the titularity, due to Fernández was transferred to Aucas.

In the 2008 Clausura, Núñez with his team proclaimed runner-up, after of the final lost against Colo-Colo in a 4-2 global result. Due to his notable season with Palestino, Núñez received several offers from the Liga de Ascenso Mexicano and Primera División de México. On December 2009, he had the opportunity of play in one of Chile giants club CF Universidad de Chile, but the transferred was frustrated.

On December 2010, he was nominated to the best eleven of the Primera División Chilena 2010, agree to El Gráfico magazine.

International career

Núñez appeared in the U–20 level for the Chile national football team in the 1999 South American Youth Championshisp, with players such as David Pizarro, Nicolás Córdova and Claudio Maldonado. He also having a good friendly relationship with Sebastián González.
