Fazilnagar is a block in Kushinagar district of the state of Uttar Pradesh in India. It is a block of Kasia Tehsil ( Revenue Sub- Divisions), one of the four tehsils in Kushinagar. The pin code of Fazilnagar is 274401. Fazilnagar officially lies in the postal division of Deoria, postal region of Gorakhpur and postal circle of Uttar Pradesh. It is 55 km from Deoria and 69 km from Gorakhpur.

Fazilnagar is also known by the name of 'Pawanagar'. It is the place where Lord Mahavir attained Nirvana. It is also believed that Lord Buddha, while going to Kushinagar from Vaishali, stayed here over night to accept meals from one of his disciples.

Fazilnagar is situated on NH-28 and has a good market. It serves as a central market for the adjoining villages. Some of the nearby villages are Nauki Patti,Pandey-Bardahan, Pipra-razzab,Nadwa Bishunpur,Dhanauji,'Dhaurahara'About Dhaurahar this village is having several Personalities like HC Judge, Engineer, Income Text Officer, Businessman but there politics are very bad Dhaurahara is also famous for the great Faker(thief) we can say also Fraud- Ritesh Shreevastav (Chhotu) others villages are Kuchiya Mathia, Pipra Kanak, Ashokwa,Awarwa, Sufiganj, Jogia, Basdila Mahanth,Nadwa Bishunpur Basdila durjan,Devichak,Dubouli, Mahuawa Khurd, Sohang is one of the famous villages of the Fazilnagar Block.The fazilnagar block go to big development both side of NH-28.

Fazilnagar has many schools among which the Pawanagar Mahavir Inter College( a government senior secondary school) is the oldest one.
