Fang Xiping (born October 1958) is a former politician of the People's Republic of China.

Although Fang is an atheist and a member of the Communist Party of China, he believe in Feng shui.[1]

Life

Fang was born and raised in Nanjing, Jiangsu, he graduated from Anhui Agricultural University in September 1982, majoring in agronomy, he obtained a Master of Business Economics degree from Fudan University.

He got involved in politics in September 1982 and joined the Communist Party of China in August 1982.

From March 1987 to January 1988, he served as the Party Secretary of Dingyuan County.

Beginning in 1988, he served in several posts in Anhui Provincial Bureau of Land Management, including section chief, division head, and station agent.

In November 1996, he became the Deputy Party Secretary and County Governor of Shucheng County, rising to Party Secretary in 1998.

In March 2000, he was appointed as Deputy Mayor of Lu'an, then he served as the Deputy Party Secretary (February 2005 - February 2006).

Fang Xiping served as the Deputy Party Secretary and Mayor of Chizhou between February 2006 to April 2011.

In April 2011, he was appointed the Party Secretary and Director of Anhui Provincial Business Affairs Hall, he remained in that position until February 2013, when he was transferred to Huainan as the Party Secretary, replacing Yang Zhenchao (Chinese: 杨振超).[2][3][4]

On August 17, 2014, Fang Xiping was being investigated by the Party's internal disciplinary body for "serious violations of laws and regulations".[5]
