Fallen In Love

Fallen In Love was published on January 24, 2012.^[1] The author of this novel is Lauren Kate. This book is a young adult fiction novel based off of the characters on that authors most notable series, Fallen.^[2] The author takes these characters and writes more in depth about them, especially Lucinda and Daniel, and was inspired by her fans to write this novel.^[3] It is set during, the most romantic holiday, Valentine's Day and tells the stories of each couple in the book and how their dates play out. Each story in the book is narrated by that particular person.^[4]

Characters

• Lucinda (Luce) Price:

She is the main character in the series. Her story goes on Valentine's Day, with Daniel, spending a night together at a Carnival.

• Daniel Grigori:

The male main character and Luce's soulmate. They're a couple and they spend Valentine's day together. Their story is defined as "Eternal" and it is the main one.

• Cameron (Cam) Briel:

He's a fallen angel, but he doesn't play a big role in this book.

• Arriane Alter:

Another fallen angel. Her love story is defined as "Forbidden, a love so fierce it burns" and it's the most tragical one in the book. This story shows up the cause of Arriane's scar on her neck. This also says that Arriane had a female lover, what makes her a lesbian. But this is not mentioned in any other book.

• Gabrielle (Gabbe) Givens:

She is a fallen angel sided with God, but in this book, she only appears in Arriane's story for a few pages.

• Roland Sparks:

A demon sided with lucifer, his story is defined as "Unrequited" and is a sad one. About finding and losing love.

• Miles Fisher:

He is a nephilim from Shoreline, in this book, Miles finds love where he least expects it.

• Shelby:

A nephilim from Shoreline, she shares a love story with Miles on the book.

• Rosaline:

She is Roland's platonical love and the co-protagonist on his love story. She is not mentioned in any other book.

• Tessriel:

Also known as Tess, she is Arriane's female lover. She is one of Lucifer's closest demons, in the book, she tries to pull Arriane to Lucifer's side so they can be truly together. Arriane refuses, so they broke up. Later, Arriane found Tess trying to suicide. The tragic story ends with Arriane flying away from the demon she loved. This story explains Arriane's scar and also clarifies she is a lesbian, and she is not into Roland.
