Faisal Khan (born 30 January 1999 in Mumbai, Maharashtra[2]) is an Indian dancer and television actor.[3][4][5] He is the winner of dance reality show Dance India Dance Li'l Masters 2[6][7] He is known for played the lead role of young Maharana Pratap in Sony India's show Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap[8][9] for which in 2014, he won Indian Television Academy Awards and Indian Telly Awards for Best Child Actor.

Career

Faisal Khan

Khan started his career as a dancer.[10] In April 2012, he Participated in Zee TV's dance reality show Dance India Dance Li'l Masters 2 as a contestant.[11][12] He made his acting debut with Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap[13][14][15] on Sony TV.[16] He also participated in Dance Ke Superkids and DID Dance Ka Tashan as Himself.[17][18] On August 2014, he gave a special dance performance in the grand opening of Kaun Banega Crorepati – season 8.[19] He also gave a special appearance in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa – season 7 to teamed up with Mouni Roy and Punit Pathak.[20] He did also an episodic role in Sony India's show C.I.D.[21] He was last seen as young Maharana Pratap in Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap on Sony India.[22]

Personal life

Khan was born circa 1999 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.[23] He has learnt freestyle dance class.[24] He is the student of class 10th.[25][26] His father is an autorickshaw driver in Mumbai.[27][28] He elaborated about his interest in direction in an interview with The Times of India, "The show Maharana Pratap has let me evolve as an actor and now I have developed a keen interest in the intricacies of direction. I head off to the director's chair whenever I manage to squeeze some free time out from our schedules to gain as much knowledge as possible. It is fascinating to play the scene out in my head and then see how differently our director directs the scene in reality."[29]
