Fairfield High Preparatory School

Coordinates: 33°29′28.24″N 86°54′29.24″W / 33.4911778°N 86.9081222°W Fairfield High Preparatory School is the only high school in the Fairfield City School System of Fairfield, Alabama. Fairfield High has approximately 874 students. The majority of the ethnicity ratio is African-American with 98%. Fairfield High, has all 5A Sports teams and a music program. In late February 2010, the Fairfield Lady Tiger basketball team won the 5-A State Championship at the Birmingham–Jefferson Convention Complex (BJCC). The team was led by senior point guard Jazmine Saxton. The State Championship is the first in school history in any sport. The team was coached by Tiffany Frederick, the youngest coach in state history to win a State Championship. The school is proud of their football team, who, as of yet, have not won any state championships.
