Fadil Vokrri[1] (born 23 June 1960) is a former Kosovar football player, from the 1980s. Since 2008 he has been the president of the Football Federation of Kosovo.

Born in Podujevo, Vokrri was known for his Diego Maradona-like approach with quick movement and strong shooting (where he established his strong shooting reputation at FK Pristina). He won a number of international caps for the former Yugoslavia in the mid-1980s and was unlucky to not win more caps where he was one of Yugoslavia's favourite football talents. He played in an illustrious line-up, that included the likes of Agim Cana, Edmond Rugova and Fadil Muriqi and many famous Kosovan players that were part of the Golden Generation in the 1980s. Vokrri's FK Pristina went to beat Red Star Belgrade at Marakana ground and record a historic away victory the Kosovan team.

Career

Fadil Vokrri scored a total of 121 goals and had 363 club appearances. He began his career at the football club KF Llapi (known then as FK Lab Podujevo). He moved to FK Pristina in 1980 and played there until 1986 scoring 55 goals and making 172 appearances. Vokrri was very successful with FK Partizan from Belgrade where he scored 18 goals and had 55 appearances. He also played for Nîmes, Fenerbahçe SK where he played for the very successful coach Guus Hiddink. Vokrri was a favourite with the Fenerbahçe fans but was growing old, where he could not show what he was at FK Prisitna and FK Partizan.

In February 2008 he was elected as the president[2] of the Football Federation of Kosovo for a 4-year mandate. Fadil Vokrri has been considered as one of the greatest Kosovan players to ever play the professional game, with the likes of Agim Cana's son Lorik Cana, Valon Behrami and Xherdan Shaqiri starting to shine.
