FRP Advisory is an independent business services firm based in the United Kingdom, providing restructuring and insolvency services.

Services

FRP Advisory is a nationwide specialist restructuring, business recovery and insolvency firm. It is one of the largest independent firms in its field,[1] operating from 13 offices, with 31 partners and about 200 employees.[2] FRP Advisory is incorporated in London, United Kingdom as a limited liability partnership.

History

The firm was formed in June 2010 by the founding senior partners Jeremy French and Geoff Rowley, whose initials form the basis of the name (French Rowley Partners), to undertake a management buyout of the Business Recovery Services division of Vantis plc.[3] FRP did not make a cash payment for the business, but took on £11 million of Vantis' debt.[4]

Notable clients

Stanford International Bank

Former Vantis executives Nigel Hamilton-Smith and Peter Wastell were the joint liquidators of Stanford International Bank Limited and Stanford Trust Company Limited,[5] a high-profile appointment which contributed to the collapse of Vantis. Hamilton-Smith and Wastell transferred to FRP Advisory and continued to act on the liquidation, and FRP Advisory fought to have them reinstated as liquidators of Stanford after a court decision to remove them,[6] but the Eastern Caribbean Court of Appeal confirmed their removal in May 2011, passing the case to Grant Thornton.[7]
