FK Borec (Macedonian: ФК Борец) is a football club from Veles, Republic of Macedonia. They currently play in the Macedonian Third League.
History
The club was founded as Borec Metalursko Hemiski Kombinat Fudbalski Klub (Borec MHK FK) in 1926.[1]
FK Borec played in the Macedonian First League from the 1992-93 through the 1994-95 season.[2]
The club was promoted to the First League again following the 1996-97 season.[3]
It has produced many players, among the best are: Zoran Paunov, Ilčo Borov, Panče Stoilov and Panče Kumbev.
Supporters
The supporters group Gemidžii is named after the anarchistic group who have committed the bombings in Thessaloniki on 1903 and the name is smillar to an supporters group of FK Gostivar (1919).
