FFU Council of Regions

FFU Council of Regions was founded on August 16, 2000. It is the Committee that is dedicated to the development of football in the regions throughout the country. The Committee is the subordinating and the canstantly acting member of the Football Federation of Ukraine.

Goals

• Insuring and providing the growth of football level and mass in the regions of Ukraine based on the consolidation the resource of the organizations and the individuals that are interested in its development.
• Democratization of the football administration. Providing synchronized actitions and football solidarity in all regions of Ukraine that are interested in the development of football.
• Improving the preparation system of players and the methodology of football as a game in the regions.
• Development the system of propaganda and popularization of football in the regions.
• Gratify and protect the interest of regional federation, members of the FFU.

Members

There are 27 members. In each region conducts its on championship, while most of them has the second and the third tiers of league competitions. Each region also conducts a regional cup competitions as well as some additional regional tournaments. Along with it each regional federation has several smaller regional federations of its own (raion and city federations). Note that the Sevastopol City Football Federation cooperates with the Crimean Republican Football Federation and often teams from Sevastopol compete in the championship of the peninsula.
