They currently play in the Liga III, Seria V in the 2014–2015 season after finishing 4th in the Liga III, Seria V in the 2013–2014 season. This is the fourth year in a row when FC Hunedoara would have missed promotion by a slight margin.
History
In the summer of 2009, FC Hunedoara was founded, to keep alive the football in Hunedoara. Not to be confused with its predecessor Corvinul Hunedoara, or SC Corvinul 2005 Hunedoara, however the club is still considered a phoenix club despite no legal continuity between the three.
