FC Arsenal Kharkiv is a football club based in Kharkiv, Ukraine. Arsenal Kharkiv currently plays in the regional competitions of Kharkiv Oblast. On the base of the club was formed FC Kharkiv and the club has a well established infrastructure with series of stadiums and sport schools.

Arsenal Kharkiv ceased withdrew from the PFL after the 2008–09 season[2] but the youth teams continue to compete.

Overview

Prior to 2005, current Ukrainian Premier League club FC Kharkiv was also known as FC Arsenal Kharkiv. The later club was reestablished reentered the championship in the Druha Liha in 2005. The management of the club considers the establishment of the club in 1998. The club at "Arsenal-Bavaria" stadium. The infrastructure of the club has a reserve squad (Arsenal-2) which competes in the Kharkiv Oblast League and Sports school with numerous junior teams.

Stadiums[3]

The club has a possession of two stadiums Arsenal-Spartak Stadium (former Spartak) and Arsenal-Bavaria Stadium (former stadium of local rope factory). Also the club has a complex of four fields with a synthetic surface called Arsenal-OPEN.[4] Arsenal-Spartak has capacity of 1500 people, but it's planned to enlarge it to 8000 by 2010; Arsenal-Bavaria has a capacity to accommodate 2300 spectators. In July 2010 Arsenal-Bavaria was given away to FC Helios Kharkiv and was renamed into Helios Arena.
