Exeter (formerly known as Backmask) is an upcoming horror film directed by Marcus Nispel.

Plot

After a group of teenagers at a party release a spirit by playing a vinyl record backwards, it possesses them and attempts to communicate a warning.[1]

Cast

Development

The film was first announced on May 9, 2011.[2] The first images from the set were revealed on June 18, 2012.[1][3] The screenplay is written by Kirsten Elms, and the make up effects were carried out by Shaun Smith.[3] Most of the main casting announcements were made on June 1, 2012.[4] On December 10, 2014, Dread Central reported that the title had been changed to Exeter.[5]
