Evolven is a technology company that provides IT Operations Analytics (ITOA) solutions for enterprise businesses. Founded in 2007,[1] Evolven is headquartered in Jersey City, New Jersey, USA,[2] with offices in Europe and Israel. Evolven sells enterprise software that apply the IT Operations Analytics (ITOA) approach to help enterprise organizations with change and configuration management.[3]

History

Evolven was founded in 2007 by Mercury Interactive (acquired by HP in 2007[4]) veteran, Alexander (Sasha) Gilenson,[5] and is majority owned by Pitango Venture Capital[6] and Index Ventures. On May 13, 2013, Evolven announced integration with ServiceNow products.[7] In September 2014, Evolven received integration certification from ServiceNow.[8]

Technology

Evolven applies the principles of IT Operations Analytics to analyze and prioritize changes and differences to configuration parameters in information technology systems.[9] Gartner reported that "The volume and variety of data required to monitor and manage complex IT systems has grown exponentially, which increases the need for new technologies to ingest, store and analyze the data."[10] The Evolven system dissects large amounts of configuration changes and differences to zoom in on configuration parameters or bill-of-material items, pinpointing inconsistencies in IT environments.[11]
