The EvoStream Media Server (EMS) is a multi-format, multi-protocol media server developed by EvoStream Inc. It supports delivery to media platforms such as Adobe Flash, Apple iOS devices and QuickTime, IPTV, Microsoft Silverlight, Android, BlackBerry, and other 3GPP devices into a single workflow.[1][2]
EvoStream Media Server delivers outbound media through RTMP, RTMPS, LiveFLV, RTSP with RTP or MPEG-TS, HLS, HDS and direct MPEG-TS. It runs on Linux (all distributions), Unix (Mac OS X and FreeBSD) and Windows (7 and 2008). The EvoStream Media Server can be run on standard x86 based computer architectures as well as other embedded platforms, such as ARM and MIPS.
EvoStream Media Server is developed using C/C++ and has direct access to the native I/O of the platform it is running on.

History
The EvoStream Media Server started as the CRTMPServer before forking from that project under the name EvoStream in 2011.[3]
