"Everyone's Gone To The Moon" is a song that was written and recorded as the debut single of the British singer-songwriter and record producer Jonathan King. The song was released in 1965 while King was still an undergraduate at Cambridge University.[1]
Released by Decca Records, it reached no.4 in the UK,[2] and no.17 in the US Billboard Hot 100.[3][4] It has since been performed by other artists, including Chad & Jeremy, Doris Day, The Flaming Lips, Nina Simone, The Lettermen,[5] Dana,[6] Bobby Womack,[7] Jan & Dean,[8] and Percy Faith.[9]
