Everyman Group (known as Everyman Cinemas) is a cinema company in the United Kingdom. The company was founded in 2000 when entrepreneur Daniel Broch bought the original Everyman Cinema in Hampstead, which dated to 1933.

Broch founded the Everyman Cinema concept which is evident in all Everyman venues today and lead the growth of the company to the acquisition in 2008 of Screen Cinemas to further extend its locations. This coincided with Broch selling a majority stake in the enlarged company to a group of investors. Broch remains a shareholder in the company to this day [1] Following the acquisition, the group has, or plans to, refurbish a number of cinemas. Those already refurbished include Walton, Belsize Park, Baker Street, and the Islington-based Screen on the Green. The group now owns a chain of eleven unique premium cinemas across London, Surrey, Hampshire, Leeds and Birmingham which are renowned for their service and hospitality.

Everyman Cinemas offer a carefully selected and varied programme of films and special events, including the Metropolitan Opera from New York and the National Theatre (in selected cinemas), live Q&As, film festivals and seasons.[2] The venues each feature a fully licensed bar with fine wines, champagnes, beers and cocktails for guests, an enhanced food offering including freshly made pizzas (in selected cinemas), and the very latest in digital technology by way of Sony Digital 4K projectors and Dolby Digital surround sound.[3]

The group are currently in the process of extending their operating area across the UK, and as a result have opened cinemas in Northern England. The first of these opened in Leeds in April 2013 as part of the Trinity Leeds development in the city centre[4] and a second opened within The Mailbox in Birmingham on 27 February 2015.[5]

Everyman's cinemas can vary from only having one single screen to four screens. A small number of these can cater for audiences seeking to view films in 3D.

On 9 August 2013, The Guardian revealed that the entire non-management staff of about 100 are employed on zero hour contracts.<ref name="Curzon and Everyman cinema staff on zero-hours contracts>"Curzon and Everyman cinema staff on zero-hours contracts". The Everyman Media Group made its début on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) on 7 November 2013.
