The mellotron played by Maurice Gibb, the low voices by Barry and Robin Gibb on the intro was featured on this song. This track was recorded in March 23 same day as they recorded "Please Read Me" "Life" (unreleased) and "In My Own Time". It was also released as the B-side of "Holiday" in Australia on October 1967 and US on September 1967.[1] Though it was not released as a single anywhere, it appeared on the 1969 compilation Best of Bee Gees.

Maurice Gibb talks about the mellotron on this track: "We started off with a mellotron and we used that on "Every Christian Lion Hearted Man Will Show", I had to repeat that on stage, but i used an organ".[2]

Musical structure

At the intro of the song, it features a low vocal by Barry and Robin, no instruments was featured, only the orchestra, the line was Oh solo dominique, it was repeated four times. On the chorus, the only line was every christian lion hearted man will show you, features a low harmony by Barry and high harmony by Robin. The line Oh solo dominique was featured again at the end of the song. Music critic Bruce Eder describes this track as "close in spirit to the Moody Blues of this era, opening with a Gregorian chant backed by a mellotron, before breaking into a strangely spaced-out, psychedelic main song body."[3]
