Evangelical Church of India

The Evangelical Church of India (ECI) is a major Christian denomination in India. It has at least 100,000s of members.[1] It has congregations in at least ten states of India.[2] It has Allahabad Bible Seminary [3] in Allahabad, Calcutta Bible Seminary in Kolkata and Madras Theological Seminary and College in Chennai.[4] Its existence is because of the activity of the Oriental Missionary Society, (OMS International).[5] Bishop Dr.M. Ezra Sargunam was consecrated bishop in 1993.[6]
