The Eurovision Young Musicians 2016 will be the 18th edition of the Eurovision Young Musicians contest. Candidates representing each participating European Broadcasting Union (EBU) member state will participate and performed live on 3 September 2014 in Cologne, Germany. The candidates will accompanied by the WDR Symphony Orchestra. So far only the host country has been confirmed as participating.

It was announced on 9 December 2014, that the 2016 contest will take place in Cologne, Germany on 3 September 2016.[1][2] This will be the second consecutive time that the German city have hosted the Young Musicians, with the last being the Eurovision Young Musicians 2014.[3] It will also be the third time that Germany have been the host nation, with their first in Berlin for the Eurovision Young Musicians 2002.[4]
