The 12th Eurovision Young Musicians final was held at the Culture and Congress Centre in Lucerne, Switzerland on 27 May 2004.
There were sixteen participants in total, and seven of these were selected to perform in the televised final. The finalists were accompanied by Lucerne Symphony Orchestra under the leadership of Christian Arming. For the first time, the host and the conductor was the same person.
