The European Journal of Endocrinology is a monthly peer-reviewed academic journal covering endocrinology. It was established in 1948 as Acta Endocrinologica, obtaining its current name in 1994.[1][2] It is the official clinical journal of the European Society of Endocrinology,[3] and has been published by Bioscientifica since 1999.[2] The editor-in-chief is Johannes Romijn (University of Amsterdam).[4] According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2013 impact factor of 3.686.[5]
