Eurasia International University (EIU) is a private and accredited institution of higher education in Armenia, headquartered in Yerevan. Since 2004, EIU transitioned to the credit model which made the instruction fully compatible with the European Higher Education Area Standards and Bologna Agreement. EIU offers education at graduate and undergraduate levels in Law, Management, and Foreign Languages. EIU realizes different collaborations both regionally and internationally.

Departments

EIU has three departments: Faculty of Law, Management, and Foreign Languages. The Department of Law has different specializations among them: Civil Law, Criminal Law, International Law, Business Law, and Constitutional Law. The mission of the Department is to prepare legal practitioners empowered with specialized competences for meeting the demands of a rapidly changing environment of legal profession. The curriculum presents the combination of theory and practice by giving students an opportunity to build knowledge in domestic and international legal rules and procedures, and skills in legal research and analysis. The Department of Management strives to develop and follow up new approaches to teaching in the field of management, entrepreneurship, and finances aimed at contributing to the formation and development of students' managerial and entrepreneurship skills. The Department offers the following areas of studies: Human Resources Management, Business Management, Marketing, Banking, IT Management etc. The teaching methodology adopted by the lecturers of the Department is composed of a theoretical part, practical trainings and games, discussion, and research seminars. The Department of Foreign Languages is one of the three founding departments of EIU. Its main specializations are: Pedagogy, Philology, and Translation.

International Programs

e-Business Dual Degree Master Program (EBA)

Eurasia International University, in collaboration with Lithuanian Mykolas Romeris University, as well as with the support of Microsoft Armenia and the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE) offers Dual Degree Master Program miin Electronic Business Administration (e-Business). The faculty members are highly qualified in their field(s) of expertise, and combine a solid academic background with ample professional experience as business leaders, entrepreneurs and/or consultants. Part of the courses are toughed by faculty members of Lithuanian university.


The courses are taught by both the faculty members of Mykolas Romeris University and Eurasia International University in Armenia Part of the courses are taught by the employees of Microsoft Armenia and the members of Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE) The student has the option to leave for Lithuania for a semester for the studies The supervisor of the master thesis is assigned by Mykolas Romeris University At the end of the studies the student gets two diplomas and diploma supplements The students and alumni receive consultancy in planning own e-business, as well as support throughout the first year for the idea implementation (e.g. free office space and infrastructure, consultancy etc.)

Erasmus Mundus

Eurasia International University is involved in Erasmus Mundus Action 2 ALRAKIS consortium for the upcoming three years. The students, academic and administrative staff of the university have the privilege to take part in the international exchange project by getting grants and scholarships from European Commission. The consortium is coordinated by the Georg August University (GÖTTINGEN).

Educational reform

Realizing the necessity of educational reform in the Republic of Armenia, EIU has started its integration into the European Higher Education Area by providing Bologna Process-compliant curricula and educational methodology, as the first Armenian university to join the process.
