Eucalyptus tricarpa, or Red Ironbark, is a species of Eucalyptus which is endemic to Victoria and the South Coast of New South Wales in Australia. It is a tall, straight trunked tree that usually grows to between 25 and 35 metres in height. It has deeply furrowed red-brown to black-brown bark that is persistent on all branches.

Taxonomy

Eucalyptus tricarpa was formerly regarded as a subspecies of Eucalyptus sideroxylon and was known as Eucalyptus sideroxylon subsp. tricarpa L.A.S.Johnson
