Estee Applauder

Michael Joyce (20 February 1969 – 2 December 2009) was an Australian flamboyant drag artist and female impersonator known by the stage name Estee Applauder who died in a car accident. He was well known for his act at the Rose & Crown pub, The George and Dragon pub and other local British gay venues around Greenwich, London.

Michael Joyce had, just before his death, completed a major role in the film The Cost of Love directed by Carl Medland and shot on location in Greenwich.[1][2] Michael Joyce played the role of Sean, the friend and confidant of Dale played by Christopher Kelham.

Joyce died in a car accident while in Tasmania with his mother. She was heavily injured during the same incident.[3]
