Escenic AS is a "provider" of online publishing solutions, based in Oslo, Norway and has a subsidiary Escenic Asia in Bangladesh. Escenic provides a multi-channel and mobile ready publishing solution including the Escenic Content Engine, a high performance content management and delivery system for modern websites, the Widget Framework, with ready-made building blocks, websites and a powerful front-end user interface.

History

Escenic AS is a leading provider of content management and website authoring tools.

Established in 1999, the company is based in Oslo, Norway, with a subsidiary Escenic Asia in Dhaka, Bangladesh. In 2013 Escenic has been acquired by CCI Europe, a provider of editorial and advertising solutions for multimedia news environments in 2013.

Designed with the needs of large media companies in mind, Escenic’s online publishing platform powers more than 600 website in world. Escenic’s products are used by world's leading publishing houses and broadcasters, including News UK, SVT, Trinity Mirror, Axel Springer, The McClatchy Company, TVN Chile.

The Escenic product range consists of powerful content management and website authoring tools. The core products include:

In addition to the core products, a number of plugins provide additional functionality and integration with third party software. Custom integrations with external systems can be added utilizing Escenic’s highly flexible APIs and web services.

Escenic’s content management and website authoring products are available either as SaaS (Software as a Service) offer or licensed software.
