Erygia spissa is a moth of the Erebidae family. It is found from the Indian subregion to New Guinea, where it is found in lowland habitats, including heath forests and coastal forests.
The ground colour of the forewings is pale fawn-grey. The hindwing are fawn basally, grading to brownish grey over the distal half.
The larvae feed on Acacia and Xylia species, as well as Paraserianthes falcataria. They are pale brown, with irregular darker brown longitudinal stripes.[2]
