Ernest Aryeetey (born 1955 in Kumasi, Ghana),[1] is the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ghana. As the Vice-Chancellor, he is the Chief Executive Officer of the University. He is responsible for providing the strategic direction of the University and for driving the growth & development of the University as defined by Council.[2]

Before Aryeetey was director of the Institute Social and Economic Research (ISSER) of the University of Ghana.

Education

He received his PhD from the University of Dortmund, and the BA from the University of Ghana.[3][4]
