The Ernad Express (Malayalam: ഏറനാട് എക്സ്പ്രസ്സ്) is an express train run by the Southern Railway zone of the Indian Railways between Mangalore Central railway station in Karnataka and Nagercoil Junction railway station in Tamil Nadu. It longitudinally crosses the whole state of Kerala. It was first introduced in 2009 to run between Mangalore and Kochuveli, satellite station of Trivandrum, the capital of kerala as a tri weekly express and later got extended to Nagercoil. Now this train runs as a daily service.
Train number 16605 runs from south to north and on the return journey, the train number 16606 runs from Nagercoil to Mangalore. The train has stoppage at Manjeshwar, Kumbala, Kasaragod, Kanhangad, Nileshwar, Cheruvathur, Payyannur, Valapattanam, Kannur, Thalassery, Mahe, Vatakara, Payyoli, Koyilandy, Kozhikode, Feroke, Vallikkunnu, Parappanangadi, Tanur, Tirur, Kuttippuram, Shoranur Junction, Thrissur Railway Station,Chalakudy, Aluva, Ernakulam Junction (South), Thuravoor, Cherthala, Alappuzha, Ambalapuzha, Harippad, Kayamkulam, Karunagappally, Kollam Junction, Varkala, Thiruvananthapuram Central, Neyyattinkara and Kulitthurai.
