Erik Gustafsson (born December 15, 1988) is a Swedish professional ice hockey defenceman who plays for Avangard Omsk of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). He previously played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Philadelphia Flyers.
Playing career
Gustafsson signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Philadelphia Flyers on March 31, 2010, after playing three seasons of collegiate hockey with Northern Michigan.[1] Gustafsson made his NHL debut on February 26, 2011, against the Ottawa Senators, subbing for Chris Pronger, who was out with a bruised right hand.[2]
Gustafsson scored his first career NHL goal against Ryan Miller of the Buffalo Sabres on February 16, 2012.
Following the 2013–14 NHL season, Gustafsson signed with Avangard Omsk of the Kontinental Hockey League.[3]
