Eric Stough
Eric Stough (born July 31, 1972) is the animation director and producer of the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning television series South Park and worked on Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends which aired on Cartoon Network from 2004 and ended in 2009 . He was also the animation director of South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut and has worked with Trey Parker and Matt Stone on Orgazmo, Team America: World Police and the Broadway hit The Book of Mormon.
Early life
Stough is originally from Evergreen, Colorado. Stough met Trey Parker in high school, where they did short films and were in plays together. Stone was in Stough's short film The Diner in college at the University of Colorado.
Career
Prior to his work with Parker and Stone, Stough had internships with Jim Henson Productions and Walt Disney. The South Park character Leopold "Butters" Stotch is based on him, mostly because of his cautious attitude and kindness.[1] Stough also does the un-muffled voice of Kenny McCormick on the show.
Like Parker, Stough has no drawing or artistry skills but is one of the key people responsible for the show's intentionally crude animation.
