Enumclaw Regional Hospital in Enumclaw, Washington, was part of the Franciscan Health System, a five-hospital organization based in Tacoma.

Other hospitals in the Franciscan organization are St. Joseph Medical Center, Tacoma; St. Francis Hospital, Federal Way; St. Clare Hospital, Lakewood; and St. Anthony Hospital, Gig Harbor.

Facility

The Enumclaw Regional Hospital was located at 1450 Battersby Ave. in Enumclaw. The hospital was licensed for 38 beds.

The acute-care facility provided inpatient and outpatient medical services, including 24-hour emergency care. It was designated as a "critical-access facility" by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) program for hospitals in rural communities.

The hospital was established in 1949 and joined the Franciscan Health System in 2007.

Volume

In fiscal year 2008 (July 2007-June 2008), Enumclaw Regional Hospital admitted 1,130 patients; responded to 12,123 patient visits to its Emergency Department; and received 20,661 outpatient visits.

Replacement

Enumclaw Regional Hospital was replaced by St. Elizabeth Hospital in February 2011.[1] The space south of Battersby Avenue was turned into patient and visitor parking.[2]
