Emrhys Cooper (Born February 14, 1985) [1] is an English actor and producer who is involved in film, musical theatre, and television. Cooper started his career in stage acting & performing in many of London's West End productions such as We Will Rock You (Queen),[2] Fame The Musical as well as appearing in films like Bright Young Things, Mamma Mia! (2008).[3]

Life and career

Cooper was born in Devon, England.[4] At 16 he was awarded a scholarship for the Central School of Ballet; he later trained at Laine Theatre Arts, Epsom. Prior to joining the big screen he toured with Fame - the Musical before, then making his West End debut at 21 in the Queen musical We Will Rock You.

Cooper has made several appearances on British Television, such a recurring role on the soap opera Coronation Street, I'd Do Anything and 999. His on-screen debut was in the 2007 film Natasha. He is also featured in Mamma Mia! in 2008.

In 2008, he moved to Los Angeles where he quickly started working on many of USA's biggest shows including Desperate Housewives, CSI:NY and Touch. Cooper was also cast in the films Walk a Mile in My Pradas,[5] Bloodrush and 2015's Altered Perception.

Notable US stage work includes The Actors Companies critically acclaimed production of Entertaining Mr Sloan". Cooper won several awards for his portrayal of "Sloan" including being voted "person to watch" by Broadway World.[6]

Cooper has also worked as a dancer with many of the worlds biggest recording artists including Madonna, Christina Aguilera, Pussycat Dolls and the Sugababes, (in the video for "Push the Button") as the Geeky Guy directed by Matthew Rolston. [7] Whilst dancing, Cooper appeared on TV shows such as X Factor, Americas Got Talent, Stars in their Eyes and the MTV European Music Awards.

in 2013 Cooper co wrote and released his debut single "Hypnotized" through Inspire U records. The song played on many of the UK's major stations. The song can be heard in the feature film Kushuthara: Pattern of Love.
