Empress of Russia was a title in the Russian Empire between 1721 and 1917, and was held by:
- Catherine I of Russia, 22 October 1721 (Empire proclaimed) to 17 May 1727 (New Style)
- Anna of Russia, 30 January 1730 to 28 October 1740
- Elizabeth of Russia, 6 December 1741 to 5 January 1762
- Catherine II of Russia, 5 January 1762 to 6 November 1796
- Maria Feodorovna (Sophie Dorothea of Württemberg), 6 November 1796 to 5 November 1828
- Elizabeth Alexeievna (Louise of Baden), 24 March 1801 to 16 May 1826
- Alexandra Feodorovna (Charlotte of Prussia), 1 December 1825 to 1 November 1860
- Maria Alexandrovna (Marie of Hesse), 2 March 1855 to 8 June 1880
- Maria Feodorovna (Dagmar of Denmark), 13 March 1881 to 13 October 1928
- Alexandra Feodorovna (Alix of Hesse), 14/26 November 1894 to 17 July 1918
Of these, only Catherine I and II, Anna, and Elizabeth were ruling Empresses, the other were consorts to the Emperor.
