Emory W. Hines was the third head college football coach for the Grambling State University Tigers located in Grambling, Louisiana and he held that position for six seasons, from 1935 until 1940. His coaching record at Grambling was 4 wins, 11 losses, and 2 ties. As of the conclusion of the 2007 season, this ranks him fifth at Grambling in total wins and sixth at Grambling in winning percentage (0.294).[1]
He died of a long illness in 1989.[2]
