José Emmanuel Crescimbeni Barrantes (born June 25, 1990) is an American-born competition swimmer who has represented Peru in international events. He specialized in butterfly events.[1] He is a single-time Olympian (2008), and currently holds Peruvian records in the 100-meter and 200-meter butterfly. While residing in the United States, Crescimbeni became a 2007 Florida High School state champion, and a member of the Florida Gators swimming and diving team under head coach Gregg Troy.[2]

Crescimbeni represented his parents' homeland Peru at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China, where he competed in the men's 200 m butterfly. He posted a FINA B-standard entry time of 2:01.09 from the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil a year earlier.[3] He participated in heat one against three other swimmers Nikša Roki of Croatia, Rehan Poncha of India, and Javier Hernández Maradiaga of Honduras. He raced to third place in a time of 2:02.13, edging out Hernandez by a tenth of a second (0.10). Crescimbeni failed to advance to the semifinals, as he placed forty-first overall in the preliminary heats.[4]
