Elsinore High School was founded in 1891 and is one of the oldest schools in Riverside County, California. Located in the town of Lake Elsinore, CA, Elsinore High School (EHS) can be seen from the Interstate 15 freeway that passes nearby. Dr. Jon Hurst has been principle of the school for 10 years. The schools mascot are Tigers. The school is a California Distinguished School, an AVID National Demonstration School and a Riverside County High School Model of Excellence for their Special Education and Peer Counseling programs [2]

The facilities themselves were designed by the Danish architect Jørn Utzon and are considered one of his more important works.[3]

Clubs

Active clubs at the school include academic decathlon, ASB, AVID, cheer leading, dance, drama, and Relay For Life, Solar Cup.[4][5]

Sports

The school engages in a large number of sports including baseball, basketball, cheerleading, cross country running, football, golf, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track & field, volleyball, water polo, and wrestling.[6]
