Ellon United F.C. are a Scottish football club from the town of Ellon, Aberdeenshire. Members of the Scottish Junior Football Association, they currently play in the SJFA North Superleague. Founded around 1890, the club had also played in local Amateur and Senior competitions before joining the SJFA in 1974. They are based in The Meadows Sports Centre in Ellon along with Ellon RFC and local football sides. Club colours are red and black.
In 2012 under new management Ellon United completed the signing of ex Montrose player Scott Whelan and ex Aberdeen starlet Ryan Stewart in a joint bid.
Ellon United captured the marquee loan signing of young starlet Callum Tremaine from Fraserburgh FC. Currently scoring goals for fun and is this seasons top goal scorer. He is also well know for his penalty taking abilities, having 'rolled' many in from the spot. One famously captured on video against Dundee Violet, which sealed Uniteds spot in the next round of the cup.
