Elliott Whitehead (also spelled as Elliot, born 4 September 1989) is a rugby league player who currently plays for Catalan Dragons.

Whitehead, 19, who was an electrician toured Australia with England Academy in the summer of 2008. In the 2008 season and he won the players’ player of the year award.

20092009 Season

Elliott Whitehead made his Super League debut against Wakefield Trinity Wildcats. He featured in the next three games against Warrington Wolves, St Helens RLFC and Leeds Rhinos. He played in three consecutive games from Round 21 (Wigan Warriors) to Round 23 (Crusaders RL). He scored a try against Crusaders RL.

20102010 Season

Elliott featured in three pre-season friendlies. He played against Castleford Tigers, Dewsbury Rams and Hull KR. He scored a try in every game.

Whitehead featured in 26 consecutive games from Round 2 (St Helens RLFC) to Round 27 (Wigan Warriors). He also played in the Challenge Cup games against Dewsbury Rams, Leigh Centurions and Warrington Wolves. Whitehead scored against Castleford Tigers (2 tries), Hull KR (1 try), Leeds Rhinos (1 try), Crusaders RL (1 try), Harlequins RL (1 try), Salford City Reds (1 try), Wakefield Trinity Wildcats (1 try) and Dewsbury Rams (1 try).

20112011 Season

Whitehead appeared in three of the four pre-season games. He played against Halifax RLFC, Dewsbury Rams and Wakefield Trinity Wildcats. He scored a try against Halifax.

Elliott has featured in 24 consecutive games from Round 1 (Leeds Rhinos) to Round 24 (Hull KR). He has also featured in the Challenge Cup games against Halifax RLFC and Wigan Warriors. Elliott missed Round 1 due to suspension. Whitehead featured in 26 consecutive games from Round 2 (Castleford Tigers) to Round 27 (Catalans Dragons). He also featured in the Challenge Cup against Doncaster RLFC and Warrington Wolves. Whitehead scored tries against Wakefield Trinity Wildcats (4 tries), St Helens (1 try), Salford City Reds (1 try), Doncaster RLFC (3 tries), Leeds Rhinos (2 tries), Wigan Warriors (1 try), London Broncos (1 try), Warrington Wolves (1 try) and Hull KR (1 try). Whitehead signed a new 5 Year Deal with the Bulls mid-way through the season.

20132013 Season

Whitehead featured in the pre-season friendlies against Dewsbury Rams and Leeds Rhinos. He scored against Dewsbury Rams (4 tries).

He featured in 17 consecutive games from Round 1 (Wakefield Wildcats) to Round 17 (Hull KR). Whitehead featured in the Challenge Cup against Rochdale Hornets and London Broncos. Elliott scored against Widnes Vikings (1 try), London Broncos (2 tries) and Rochdale Hornets (3 tries). Midway through the 2013 season Whitehead handed in a transfer request.

Catalan Dragons

It was announced mid-way through the 2013 season that Whitehead had signed a 2 12-year deal with the Catalan Dragons after handing in a transfer request at Bradford Bulls.

He featured in Round 21 (London Broncos) to Round 27 (Warrington Wolves). Whitehead featured in the playoffs against Hull FC. He scored against Salford City Reds (1 try).

2014 – 2014

Whitehead featured in Round 1 (Hull FC) to Round 6 (Huddersfield Giants). Elliot featured in Round 8 (Widnes Vikings) to Round 10 (Hull KR) and then in Round 13 (London Broncos) to Round 25 (London Broncos). Elliott next played in Round 27 (Castleford Tigers). He played in the Elimination Playoff (Leeds Rhinos). Whitehead also featured in Round 5 (Bradford Bulls) of the Challenge Cup. He scored against Hull FC (1 try), Wakefield Wildcats (5 tries), Huddersfield Giants (1 try), Widnes Vikings (3 tries), Hull KR (2 tries), London Broncos (2 tries), Bradford Bulls (2 tries), Wigan Warriors (1 try) and Castleford Tigers (1 try).

2015 – 2015

Whitehead featured in Round 1 (St Helens RLFC) to Round 12 (Hull KR). He scored against Castleford Tigers (1 try), Salford Red Devils (1 try), Leeds Rhinos (2 tries), Wakefield Wildcats (1 try) and Hull KR (1 try).

Canberra Raiders

On 8 April 2015, Whitehead signed a 2-year contract with National Rugby League side, Canberra Raiders starting in 2016.[2]

International Career

Whitehead was selected in the 2014 Rugby League Four Nations squad. He was selected in the 3rd group game against New Zealand.
