Elizabeth Miller (academic)
Elizabeth Russell Miller (born 1939) is Professor Emerita[1] at Memorial University of Newfoundland. She currently resides in Toronto. In her early academic career, she focused on Newfoundland literature, primarily the life and work of her father, well-known Newfoundland author and humorist Ted Russell. Since 1990, her major field of research has been Bram Stoker's novel Dracula, its author, sources and influence. She has published several books on the subject, including Reflections on Dracula, Dracula: Sense & Nonsense, a volume on Dracula for the Dictionary of Literary Biography and, most recently, Bram Stoker's Notes for Dracula: A Facsimile Edition with Robert Eighteen-Bisang. She maintains the Dracula Research Centre and is editor of the Journal of Dracula Studies. Miller is also president of the Canadian chapter of Transylvanian Society of Dracula.

Miller lectures regularly at venues including universities,[6] academic conferences, ballet productions of Dracula and private functions. A participant in several TV documentaries including “Summer of the Vampire” (ABC “20/20),[7] “Frontline International (PBS)[8] and “Dracula: The Vampire & the Voivode”,[9] Miller has been interviewed for feature articles appearing in a variety of newspapers and magazines.[10][11][12]
