Elise Witt

Elise Witt is a singer who "was born in Switzerland, raised in North Carolina and since 1977 has made her home in Atlanta, Georgia".[1]

Witt has performed in a range of venues, from New York’s Carnegie Hall to Nashville’s Bluebird Café and many others. Witt can speak five different languages fluently and can sing in a dozen. Singing for 20 years with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus and chamber chorus, she is very experienced. She has studied improvisation and currently is part of a 16-voice ensemble.

She performed and has taught places from Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center to the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival and Clearwater Hudson River Revival, Italy and in schools around the United States. In 1995, she represented the state of Georgia at the Kennedy Center's 25th Anniversary Celebration, and for the year, 2000 she was chosen as one of 120 residency artists nationwide for "America Creates for the Millennium."
