Elachista argillacea is a moth of the Elachistidae family. It is found in California.[1]
The length of the forewings is 3.7-4.8 mm. The basal 1/3 of the forewing costa is grey, the wing is otherwise entirely white. The hindwings are light grey and the underside of the forewings is brownish grey. The costal margin of the hindwings is brownish grey, but otherwise greyish white.
Etymology
The species name is derived from Latin argilla (meaning white clay).
