El amor tiene cara de mujer, is a Mexican telenovela, produced by Valentín Pimstein for Telesistema Mexicano (Televisa today) in 1971. Starring the leading actresses Silvia Derbez, Irma Lozano, Irán Eory and Lucy Gallardo, features an original story by Nené Cascallar. This was the second longest in history Mexican telenovela. Since its inception, July 12, 1971, the telenovela maintained high ratings through 400 chapters of one hour (760 half-hour episodes, as Televisa accounted for the duration of their telenovleas then).[1]

is a remake of the telenovela Argentina El amor tiene cara de mujer, released in 1964 coming to an end six years later, in 1970. It was one of the biggest TV hits of the 60s greatly influencing the masses. Produced by Channel 13 of Buenos Aires starred Bárbara Mujica, Iris Láinez, Delfy de Ortega and Angélica López Gamio.

Plot

The story features the lives of four women of different ages and social classes in their work attending the prestigious Institute of Beauty & Boutique Lucy Scale. They, Laura, Matilda, Vicky and Lucy day will cope with personal problems but also enjoy the joys of life and the great friendship the four have grown.
