Eidsvoll Warranty
The Eidsvoll Warranty (Norwegian: Eidsvollsgarantien) was an act passed by the Norwegian Constituent Assembly on May 13, 1814.[1] The act's purpose was to eliminate the state budget deficit as well as the planned budget until March 1, 1815 of 14 billion Norwegian riksdaler.[1] The act involved printing of new cash that was guaranteed an exchange rate of 375 while the exchange rate being 500.[1]
