EGO-WRAPPIN’ is a Japanese jazz band which formed in Osaka, Japan in 1996. They were first signed to RD Records in 1999, but transferred to Universal Music Japan two years later. The band primarily consists of two main members, Yoshie Nakano as the vocalist/songwriter and Masaki Mori as the guitarist/songwriter. Nakano is known for a deep and soulful voice, which fits their main jazz style. Ego-Wrappin's music is mostly influenced by jazz, often featuring traditional jazz band instrumentation, including a double bass and horns section. However, their music also integrates rock, reggae, or pop. Ego-Wrappin' hit the major scene with Shikisai no Blues (色彩のブルース English title: Midnight Dejavu). They transferred to Toy's Factory in 2004, and they are still connected with this label.
