Edwin Graf Rothkirch und Trach commanded the German LIII Corp during World War II. He held the rank of General der Kavallerie. On March 6, Rothkirch, while commanding officer of LIII Korps, wandered into U.S. lines and was captured[1] west of Coblenz, Germany.[2]
