Edward af Sillén
Edward af Sillén (born 1982) is a Swedish comedy writer, screenwriter and director.
For Swedish Television SVT he did the commentary for the Eurovision Song Contest 2009,[1] Eurovision Song Contest 2010[2] and again for Eurovision Song Contest 2011.[3] He will also do the commentary for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 together with Gina Dirawi.[4] In Eurovision Song Contest 2010 from Oslo, Edward wrote the script and directed the hosts of the contest; Erik Solbakken, Haddy Jatou N'jie and Nadia Hasnaoui.[5]
In Sweden he has written and directed TV broadcast of Melodifestivalen in 2009 and again in 2010.[6]
He translated and assisted directed the Swedish productions of Robert Harling's Steel Magnolias at the Vasateatern in Stockholm in 2008 - 2009, starring Pernilla August, Melinda Kinnaman among others.[7] At Stockholms Stadsteater he assisted directed the musical Hair and Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare.[8]
He wrote the Guldbaggegalan in 2004 for actress Maria Lundqvist, and again in 2007 for comedian Sissela Kyle live on SVT, which he also directed.[9]
In 2011, af Sillén wrote and directed the show Tomas Ledin Showtime at Rondo in Gothenburg.[10]
