Edward Bishop III
Edward Bishop[1] and his wife were arrested and jailed for witchcraft in the witchcraft hysteria of 1692, and accused in the Salem witch trials.[2]
Family
Conventional thought holds that Edward Bishop III was the grandson of early immigrant Edward Bishop, and the son of Edward Bishop Jr. Edward Bishop and his wife broke out of the Boston jail and escaped to Rehoboth. Their son Samuel later redeemed their property.
